We could not have been more pleased with Daniel Maldonado as our wedding pastor. Our wedding was one on the larger side at Green Pastures in Austin, Texas and Daniel was able to set the tone as a celebration that was intimate and welcoming. He not only took the time to get to know us as a couple, but assisted us in putting words to our ceremonial vision. I will treasure the memories Daniel helped create on our wonderful day and will recommend him to all friends who are planning a wedding!–Stacy
Daniel Maldonado was our wedding officiant for a wedding last spring at the Wildflower Center in Austin, TX. Daniel did a wonderful job incorporating all of our wishes into the service. He worked with us ahead of time to develop a wedding service that was very meaningful to us and our families. We were raised in different faiths and wanted to be sure that both sides of the of the family would feel connected to our service and no one would feel alienated or offended. Everyone had rave reviews! Afterwards many people told us how much they enjoyed our service and we have many wonderful memories, too.–Rachel
Daniel officiated my wedding on January 9,2010. He was great. Full of energy and blessing he created a space at the ceremony that was unbelievable. All of my guests say it was the best wedding they have been too. Daniel was very helpful in getting to know us and our goals and why we were doing this. He has the ability to do many types of ceremonies and can mix and match if need be. He exudes confidence and I would recommend him to anyone. I'll say it again the energy he brings is powerful and moving. We laughed and cried and he helped us be very present and was able to captivate the crowd and engage them as part of the ceremony.–Mike
Selection
Chemistry between officiant and the couple is paramount. During selection the couple spends 20 to 40 minutes with chaplain Daniel Maldonado. If there is a fit, then arrangements are made. If there is no fit, then the couple is referred to another chaplain.
Order
The flow of the ceremony, the order, is totally up to the discretion of the couple. The chaplain will give suggestions and facilitate the development of the order of the ceremony. In many cases, the bride and groom will have specific ideas or get help from a wedding planner. The order of the ceremony is always balanced between time and content.
Vows
Sealing your wedding vows is a special commitment that is left left up to the couple. Traditional vows can be recommended by the wedding officiant. Sometimes the wedding vows consist of a combination of traditional and contemporary elements.
Readings
Readings can be taken from spiritual texts, poetry, personal writings or experiences, or a number of other means. These can include traditional or unconventional sources.
